The Auburn Planning Board gives notice of the following public hearing to occur on Tuesday,
September 8, 2026, in the Select Board Meeting Room of the Town Hall, 104 Central Street,
Auburn, MA:
7:00 PM

Zoning Bylaw Amendment – Data Center Moratorium (ZA-26-3)
On the petition of the Department of Development and Inspectional Services to
amend the Auburn Zoning Bylaws to insert Section 3.3 for the purposes of
enacting a one (1) year moratorium on the permitting, construction, expansion,
conversion, establishment, or operation of any Data Center. The purpose of this
hearing is to obtain public testimony on the proposed amendment and for the
Planning Board to make a recommendation to the Board of Selectman.

Zoning Bylaw Amendment – Data Center Ban (ZA-26-4)
On the petition of the Department of Development and Inspectional Services to
amend the Auburn Zoning Bylaws for the purposes of refining existing regulations
around data centers and prohibiting permitting, establishment, conversion,
construction or operation of data centers in all zoning districts. The purpose of this
hearing is to obtain public testimony on the proposed amendment and for the
Planning Board to make a recommendation to the Board of Selectman.

512 Washington Street, Auburn, MA, 01501 (Map 57, Parcel 70) (PB-26-8)
Applicant Apple Trailer Rental Corp. requests Site Plan Approval under Section
9.4 of the Auburn Zoning Bylaw for property at 512 Washington Street. The
subject property is located within the Highway Business (HB) Zoning District and
within the Aquifer and Watershed Protection Overlay District, Zone II. Presently
on the premises is a ±1,800sf metal warehouse with a paved parking/storage area.
The site is operated as a trailer rental and repair business in conjunction with the
adjacent parcel at 510 Washington Street (Map 57, Parcel 71). The applicant seeks
retroactive approval for an expansion of the parking lot in the rear of the property.

(PB-26-9)
Applicant Eastland Partners Inc. seeks a Site Plan Modification under Section
9.4 of the Auburn Zoning Bylaw for property at 190 Washington Street (AKA
Commerce Drive – Lot 1). The subject property is located within the Industrial
Park (IP) Zoning District and within the Aquifer and Watershed Protection
Overlay District, Zone III. Presently the property is vacant. The applicant seeks to
modify an approved site plan to allow the construction of six building (±75,200sf)
±150 parking spaces to be operated as warehouse space with accessory offices for
up to 23 individual tenant spaces, and to conduct other associated improvements.
