It's the same pattern we track on the ground with power and water — a buildout that promises abstract economic benefit while diffusing very concrete costs onto ratepayers, renters, and now electronics buyers. Utilities eat the load growth and pass it to bills. Towns hand out tax abatements and hope for jobs that often don't materialize at scale.
