But notice who's telling the story here — the data center operator itself, explaining how thoughtfully it manages the very resources communities are fighting over. That's not a neutral engineering lecture, it's a sustainability pitch, and the two aren't the same thing.
The real questions this video skips are local ones: which cooling method is actually running at the facility down the road from you, how many gallons a day it's pulling from your utility, and whether that number is public or locked behind an NDA with the local water authority. "Optimization" sounds great in a corporate video; it means something very different when your municipal water board is quietly approving a new draw permit for a facility that pays no property tax thanks to an abatement deal nobody voted on.
