Presentation
• Tobacco-Free CNY gave a presentation regarding tobacco retail density and potential
policies to reduce tobacco retail density in the Town.
Actions & Approvals
• Accepted the Town Board Minutes from August 10, 2026.
• Approved an amendment to the July 27, 2026 Town Board Minutes regarding Councilor
Stevenson’s Standard Workday Calculation.
• Authorized Councilor Gupta to attend the NYAOT Legislative Conference in Albany on
September 22–23, 2026 and appointed her as the Town of DeWitt’s delegate.
• Accepted the July 2026 Town Clerk Monthly Report.
• Approved Change Order No. 4 with Core & Main for additional water service meters at a
cost not to exceed $79,553.24.
• Accepted the August 17, 2026 Check Register.
• Approved a 3-step anniversary increase for Ben Hodge, retroactive to August 11, 2026
• Authorized the Supervisor to execute contracts for Town Constables at CBA and Holy
Cross.
• Approved switching the Town’s Disability, Vision, Dental, & Life Insurance coverage.
Town Board Updates
• Jamesville Quarry: Councilor Gupta gave a brief update on the Jamesville Quarry.
• Councilor Gupta announced that she will be a panelist at an upcoming community
conversation in Lysander regarding data centers.
• Supervisor Ruckdeschel announced that Councilor Klee Hood resigned from the Town
Board, effective August 24, 2026.
