NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE CITY OF PATTERSON CITY COUNCIL will hold
a Public Hearing at a Regular Meeting on AUGUST 18, 2026 AT 7:00 P.M., or soon thereafter
as a matter may be heard in the City Council Chamber, 1 Plaza, Patterson, CA to review and
consider the following:
An Urgency Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Patterson Extending Urgency
Ordinance No. 899, Which Established a Temporary Moratorium on Data Center Development,
for an Additional 10 Months and 15 Days Pursuant to California Government Code Section
65858

On July 16, 2026, the City Council adopted Urgency Ordinance No. 899, imposing a temporary
moratorium on the processing and approval of new land use applications for data center
development within the City while the City evaluates potential public health impacts and
considers additional regulations. The moratorium will expire on August 30, 2026, unless
extended by the City Council. At the public hearing, the City Council will consider extending the
moratorium for an additional 10 months and 15 days. The City Council will also consider
issuance of a written report describing the measures taken to alleviate the conditions that led to
adoption of the moratorium, as required by Government Code section 65858.
ALL INTERESTED PARTIES are invited to attend the Tuesday, August 18th, 2026, public
hearing to express opinions or submit evidence for or against the adoption. Members of the

At the above noted time and place, testimony from interested persons will be heard and
considered by the City of Patterson City Council before taking action or making any
recommendation on the proposed item. On request, the agenda and the documents in the agenda
packet can be made available to persons with a disability. In compliance with the Americans
with Disabilities Act, the City of Patterson encourages those with disabilities to participate fully
in the public hearing process. Any person requiring special assistance to participate in the
meeting should notify the City Clerk’s Office by calling (209) 895-8012 or in person at 1 Plaza,
Patterson, CA at least forty-eight (48) hours before the meeting.
Written comments are also accepted, before the hearing, by the City Clerk’s office, at 1 Plaza,
Patterson, CA 95363.
If you challenge the Urgency Ordinance in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues
you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written
correspondence delivered to the Patterson City Council at, or prior to, the public hearing.
