CALL TO ORDER
WELCOME/INVOCATION/PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
BUSINESS:
1. APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
Approve minutes of the Mayor and Council Meeting held on July 13, 2026.
2. PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION ACTIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS:
Consider the Planning and Zoning actions and recommendations from August 4, 2026.
A. Public Hearing regarding the rezoning of parcel 054D 154 from current zoning A-1
Agricultural Area to I-1 General Industrial Area.
B. Consider rezoning request of parcel 054D 154 from current zoning A-1 Agricultural
Area to I-1 General Industrial Area.
C. Public Hearing on consideration to amend Article II of Part IV of Appendix A-Land
Development, Zoning Ordinance and Subdivision Regulations of the Municipal Code
of Byron, Georgia, relating to A-1 Agricultural District and permitted uses therein.
D. Consider amendment to Article II of Part IV of Appendix A-Land Development,
Zoning Ordinance and Subdivision Regulations of the Municipal Code of Byron,
Georgia, relating to A-1 Agricultural District and permitted uses therein.
3. CITIZEN TIME TO ADDRESS COUNCIL:
Wyatt Shipman to speak to Mayor and council regarding skatepark and data center.
4. ORDINANCE (#2026-5) REGARDING DATA CENTERS:
First reading of the Data Center Ordinance.
5. (ONLY IF NECESSARY) ORDINANCE (#2026-6) REGARDING LAND DEVELOPMENT:
First reading of Proposed Ordinance (#2026-6) amendments to Article II of Part IV of Appendix
A- Land Development, Zoning Ordinance and Subdivision Regulations of the Municipal Code of
Byron, Georgia relating to A-1 Agricultural District and permitted uses therein.
6. AGREEMENT WITH GEORGIA WATER & ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES, LLC:
Consider approving a Resolution to authorize the Mayor to execute a professional services
agreement with GWES, LLC regarding the Benjamin Hawkins Infrastructure Evaluation.
7. ROAD CLOSURE REQUEST:
Request for road closure of Hudson Drive.
8. WATER/SEWER DEPARTMENT REQUEST:
Request of the Water/Sewer Department to put a 1997 Ford F250 on govdeals.
9. POLICE DEPARTMENT REQUEST:
Request of the Police Department to put a 2014 Ford Explorer on govdeals.
