1.​ Application CUP-26-002 requesting a conditional use permit to allow the
expansion of an existing poultry operation located at 426 Old Boone Ford
Road, Calhoun, GA 30701; Gordon County Tax Parcel 087-066. The Planning
Staff recommends approval. The Planning Commission voted 4-0 to approve
with conditions.

1.​ Consideration of Resolution appointing the firm of Mauldin & Jenkins, LLC
as the county auditor and approval of engagement letters.
2.​ Consideration of request from Sheriff’s Office to deem certain items as
surplus.
3.​ Consideration of request from Public Defenders Office to approve the FY27
Georgia Indigent Defense Services Agreement.
4.​ Consideration of request from County Clerk’s Office to approve change of
ownership for consumption off-premises beer and wine license to Kanaiya A.
Dhavade for Shashvat LLC dba Owen’s Grocery located at 2929 Highway
411. All fees and requirements have been met by the applicant.
5.​ Consideration of request from Sheriff’s Office to approve Amendment #1 to
Summit Food Services Agreement in the amount of $492,000 for the Jail
budgeted using GL Account 421-523010. This has been budgeted for FY27.
6.​ Consideration of request from Sheriff’s Office to approve Southern Health
Partners Renewal Agreement in the amount of $539,402 for Jail medical
services budgeted using GL Account 421-521222. This has been budgeted for
FY27.
7.​ Consideration of request to approve Community Events Center Agreement
and Fee Schedule.
8.​ Consideration of request to approve creation of Storm Water and Erosion
Manager position at Community Development.
9.​ Consideration of request from Juvenile Court to approve CAJC Grant
Application.
10.​ Consideration of request from Sheriff’s Office to approve 2024 SPLOST
purchase for one (1) 2026 Explorer Active RWD from Prater Ford in the
amount of $44,150. This will be purchased using a Statewide contract
budgeted using GL Account 329-542200-420.
11.​ Consideration of request to adopt resolution extending a temporary
moratorium relating to Anaerobic Digestion Facilities and to adopt resolution
extending a temporary moratorium relating to Data Centers.
