b. Consideration and determation of a local road to authorize and submit for recognition as
part of the Purple Heart Trail
c. Consideration of an ordinance to authorize the imposition and collection of certain fees in
the special service district representing unincorporated Candler County for the collection
and disposal of solid waste for residential and commercial properties
9. New Business
a. Consideration of a proclamation declaring the week of October 4th-10th to be Candler
County 4-H Week and to urge all citizens to assist in observance

b. Consideration of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between Southeastern Technical
College and Candler County EMS to allow students to participate in faculty-coordinated
clinical experience with the EMS service
c. Consideration and discussion regarding a letter of notification from the City of Metter
regarding annexation of 46.76 acres located on Fortner Rd, parcel 037 021; review and
approval of county response
d. Consideration of an agreement with AirMedCare Network (AMCN) for the Fly-U-Home
program to offer to county employees and families the program benefits, at the
employee’s sole cost, through county payroll deduction
e. Consideration and designation of the county voting delegate for the ACCG Legislative
Leadership Conference, beginning October 8, 2026, and held in Athens, GA
f. Consideration of proposals submitted in response to RFP 2026-1 Courthouse Repairs
which was due on August 10, 2026, and was the 2nd advertisement for the RFP
g. Consideration of a periodic maintenance agreement with CAT/Yancey for a 2021 420 IT
ES Backhoe with 4,715 hours, for a period of 12 months/1,000 hours with 500 hour
service intervals at a total cost of $4,860.85 to be paid as maintenance is performed.
h. Consideration of a request to transfer asset #481 (2016 Ford F350 Ambulance) to the
Sheriff’s Office (3300) and to declare asset #357 (2009 Ford F350 Ambulance) surplus
and authorize for sale
i. Consideration of proposals for the purchase of a tractor and boom arm with mower for
road maintenance on county roads
j. Discussion regarding data center projects, the Candler Count zoning ordinance and
effective management, restrictions and controls for data center development and
consideration of adoption of a moratorium on data center development in unincorporated
Candler County
10. Report from County Administrator
a. Discussion regarding GDOT bridge project PI 0020613; and the proposed detour route
which will impact Cowart Pond Rd
b. Discussion regarding the Metter-Candler Recreation travel sports rental agreement and
the availability of lighting systems on the north fields of the park under the agreement
