NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Garden City Planning Commission will hold public hearings on
Thursday, September 10, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. or soon thereafter, in the Council Chambers at the City Hall
of Garden City, 6000 Middlebelt Road, Garden City, Michigan. At the hearings, all those interested will
have an opportunity to be heard.
The PURPOSE OF THE FIRST PUBLIC HEARING is to solicit public comments on a request to rezone four
adjacent lots at the southeast corner of Ford Road and Middlebelt Road more commonly known as
29317 Ford Rd (Parcel #35-013-01-0015-304), 29299 Ford Rd (Parcel #35-013-01-0014-305), 29217 Ford
Rd (Parcel #35-013-01-0014-301) and Parcel 35-013-01-0012-004 and also a fifth lot, Parcel #35-013-010022-001, located on the south side of Pardo Street, east of Middlebelt Road. All lots currently zoned PD
Planned Development and all lots proposed to be CBD Central Business District.
The PURPOSE OF THE SECOND PUBLIC HEARING is to solicit public comments on a request to establish a
religious institution use at the property located at 27500 Marquette Ave, Parcel# 35-012-99-0024-705.
The site is zoned R-1 One-Family Residential and per Sec. 154.211.B(6) religious institutions require
special land use review and approval.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the applications and supporting materials may be examined at the
Building Department Offices at the City Hall of Garden City, 6000 Middlebelt Road, Garden City,
Michigan during regular office hours until the date of the hearing or requested from the City Planner by
email at [email protected].
Prior to the public hearing written comments may be submitted in person to the City Clerk at the City
Hall of Garden City, 6000 Middlebelt Road, Garden City, MI 48135 or sent via U.S. Mail to the same
address. Comments can also be emailed to the City Planner at [email protected] until 1:00
p.m. the day of the meeting.

please post this notice at the primary entrance to your building and/or provide each tenant with a copy.
