PUBLIC CONCERNS AND REQUESTS
Marcy Calvert:
-Founder/President of Power 4 Pink, which provides resources and financial
assistance for Lorain County residents fighting Breast Cancer. Her organization has used
“The Lodge” for several years for fundraising activities. She has her second “Purse
Bingo” scheduled in a few weeks. Bingo is regulated by the Ohio Attorney General’s
Office. When she submitted her application to hold the event, the State of Ohio denied
her application due to the cost of the rental hall. She inquired with the State as to why
this is an issue since last year they approved application with no question. Attorney
General stated you can only charge $450.00 for rental. Ms. Calvert asked the Trustees if
they would give her an itemized statement stating $450.00 is for rental and the
remaining balance would be for chairs, kitchen, IT rental? Time is of the essence since
she has a lead on another venue but she will encounter a loss if fundraiser has to be held
somewhere else. Chairman Justin inquired if she could switch her fundraiser to a “Night

at the Races”, Ms. Calvert stated she already has one scheduled at “The Lodge” in
February 2027. Trustee Tyner stated she would check with the Prosecutor’s Office. The
Fiscal Officer stated she already told Ms. Calvert that she would not fabricate a false
statement.

Don Case: -Attended the last Zoning Board of Commission meeting and it lasted 8 minutes.
The Chair stated in the meeting that no information has been received from the
Trustees. Trustee Breda stated she attended one ZBC Meeting and asked them to work

on definitions to define a data center. She thought they were focusing on that topic, she
will follow-up in the near future.
Trustee Breda stated she had the first informational Data Center Committee Meeting and
a second one is scheduled.

TRUSTEE BUSINESS
Correspondence was reviewed and found in order.
-OHM Zoning Modifications Quote was reviewed, Trustee Tyner stated she is waiting on two (2)
additional quotes to review and hopes to have by next meeting. Trustee Tyner stated we need
to have a consultant for the mega site, urgency is needed to complete zoning regulations.
Also, zoning changes should coincide with a potential JEDD and include a layer of protection for
the Township. Zoning change process needs to be thoughtful and include the community.
Trustee Tyner also stated she spoke with Joe Waldecker from Rural Lorain County Water
Authority last week with questions regarding a 5 ft sewer line down Russia Road and the
feasibility of such. Mr. Waldecker thought a vertical well for wastewater was more likely. Per
conversation with Don Romancak, a vertical well would be placed somewhere on Oberlin Road
and tie into a 1 to 2 ft force main on Russia Road down to Baumhart Road which would then
be gravity fed north. Only interest for the sewer is the mega site at this time. The County is
requesting a meeting between the Developer, Jeff Riddell, Karen Perkins and Trustee Tyner
in the near future.
Trustee Tyner stated three (3) easements are still needed for Cobb Ditch cleaning. One (1)
signature is possible while the other two (2) are still in progress.
Justin Mott stated he will send items for possible Govdeals sale to Chairman Justin in the near
future to set reserve price.
