Nifty Thrifty Solar Projects AND NOVUS contract - JE
1 - Solar on roof of Brandon Police Department headquarters - 64 panels - 25-30 KWH/Year **
2 - Solar array at site of Town Garage - 32 panels - 12-15 KWH/Year **
3 - Relocation of Newton Road ground mount array to adjacent to Municipal parking lot - 28 panels
**Materials need to be purchased and construction begun by July 4th this year, AND Needs to be in
service by December 31st of 2027 for the Town to be able to claim the 30% tax credit.
- Tim Guiles is helping to organize this effort - Who plans to help? What timing should we aim for?
Funds from BIC (NOVUS) - JE
Opportunity to address some of the recommendations from the MERP level 2 energy audits in
2024: Town Hall, Town Office, Town Garage, & Wastewater buildings.
ToolShip Tool additions
ToolShip 1 to be modified to house the pressure washer. Both ToolShip’s to be relaunched in
neighborhoods with yard equipment. Snow equipment to be stored. Trackers to be serviced.

Bills in state legislature: current status
H727 Data Center, H710 Single Plant, H740 GHG Reporting, and H753 Ratepayer Protections all
passed in House. S202 Portable Solar passed in Senate. Others still in committee.
Brandon Energy Navigator Program AND Weatherization Resource Library at BFPL- DM/SC
Serge assisted with a navigation. More signed up. Four commercial navigations planed.
The grant runs through the end of this year. Can we find funding to help them continue?
The remaining moneys for weatherization materials have been spent. It would be nice if we could
continue this program. Perhaps we go for another Grow Grant in September?
