That's not an abstract 'sustainability' talking point — it's the same pipe network your town uses for tap water, fire hydrants, and irrigation, now sharing capacity with server racks.

What the video gets right is the supply-chain math: cooling water is only the visible slice. Every kilowatt-hour pulled from a power plant, every wafer etched at a chip fab, carries its own water footprint upstream. Add that up across a nationwide buildout and you get a resource squeeze that lands hardest in drought-prone counties that also happen to be offering the juiciest tax abatements to land these projects.
