<h2 class="title">Boater Safety Class!</h2>
<div class="desc">
<p>Get ready for boating this summer by taking a Boater Safety Class!  The main purpose of the boater safety education course is to train knowledgeable, safe, and responsible boaters. Three classes will be offered at Waterford Township’s Regional Fire Station 1, located at 2495 Crescent Lake Road. Class dates are March 28th, April 11th, and May 9th, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. A boater&apos;s safety certificate will be awarded after successfully passing a test, which is required by law for anyone born after June 30, 1996.  In addition, boater education is required for all Personal Watercraft operators born after December 31, 1978.  Only 30 spots per class, so sign up today!  Use the QR code on the screen or go to <a data-fr-linked="true" href="//www.mi.gov/dnr" data-pasted="true" tabindex="0">www.mi.gov/dnr</a> to sign up. </p>

<p data-pasted="true">The first 2026 NoHaz Collection event will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Pine Knob Music Theater, 33 Bob Seger Dr., Clarkston, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Pre-register and pay the $15.00 fee at <a data-fr-linked="true" href="//NoHaz.com">NoHaz.com</a>.  Registration opens about three weeks prior to each collection event.  If you are unable to register online, forms will be available at the collection events.  For more information, visit <a data-fr-linked="true" href="//nohaz.com">nohaz.com</a> or call 248-858-5656.</p><p><br></p>

<h2 class="title">Friends of the Waterford Township Public Library 8th Annual 5K Run/Walk Announcement </h2>

<p data-pasted="true">Come one, come all to the 8th annual Friends of the Waterford Library 5K fun run/walk on Saturday, April 25th.  The run begins at 10:00 a.m. with registration starting at 9am.  The race takes place at the Warming House on the Civic Center Campus with the Fun Run/Walk around the pond.   Other activities include an online auction and fun activities for the whole family.  For more information, as well as the link to register for the race, please visit the Friends website at <a data-fr-linked="true" href="//waterfordmi.gov/535/friends-of-the-library" tabindex="0">waterfordmi.gov/535/friends-of-the-library</a> and then click on our fun Book It Character!  The Library race kicks off the new Waterford Race Series sponsored by Vibe Credit Union.  All proceeds from this particular event go to Friends of the Waterford Township Public Library.  The Library may be reached by phone at 248-674-4831.</p><p><br></p>
