LOGAN COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION
LOGAN COUNTY, NEBRASKA
DATE: October 5, 2026
TIME: 1:00 P.M.
The regular quarterly meeting of the Logan County Planning Commission was held in the
meeting room of the Courthouse in Stapleton, Nebraska. Notice of the meeting was given in advance
thereof by publication in The Stapleton Enterprise issue dated September 24, 2026, and was
simultaneously given to the Chairman and all members of the Planning Commission. Availability of the
agenda was communicated in the notice and in the notice to the members of the board of this meeting.
All proceedings hereafter shown were taken while the meeting was open to the attendance of the
public.
Roll call was answered as follows: Rich Burnside, Chairman; Vic Florea, Vice Chairman; Max
Lovitt, Board Member; James Main, Board Member; Jay Peterson, Board Member, and Jennifer
Nicholson, Zoning Administrator. Absent: None.
Motion by Burnside seconded by Florea to approve the minutes of the previous special meeting
held, September 15, 2026, as read. Yeas: Main, Florea, Lovitt, Peterson, and Burnside. Nays: None.
Zoning Administrator reminded the board of a Comprehensive Plan & Regulation Essentials
Webinar October 7, 2026.
Max Lovitt attended a Lincoln County zoning meeting. He shared information that was
distributed pertaining to what regulations Lincoln County citizens would like to have on data centers.
Board reviewed them and discussed what regulations they may want for Logan County.
Burnside requested Zoning Administrator check with Mr. Marvin on receiving the revised
comprehensive plan and zoning regulations prior to the special meeting to continue revisions scheduled
December 7, 2026.
No further business, meeting was adjourned at 1:45 p.m. Next regular quarterly meeting will be
held January 4, 2027, at 1:00 p.m. at the Stapleton Courthouse Commissioners Meeting Room.
