Public Comment during the Commission Meeting on September 15, 2026, will be for all matters off the agenda, and be
limited to up to three minutes per person. Additionally, public comment of up to three minutes per person may be heard
during individual action items. The Commission reserves the right to reduce the time allowed for public comment. The
Commission may prohibit comment if the content of the comments is a topic that is not relevant to, or within the authority
of, the Commission, or if the content of the comments is willfully disruptive of the meeting by being irrelevant, repetitious,
slanderous, offensive, inflammatory, irrational or amounting to personal attacks or interfering with the rights of other

16.7 For Possible Action – Approval to:
a. Accept the State of Nevada Department of Public Safety, Office of Traffic Safety Pedestrian
Visibility Campaign grant award TS-2027-Nye CO SO-1055 in the amount of $15,000.00 to
provide funding for the purchase of high visibility safety vests and clip-on LED safety lights for
pedestrians and cyclists to be distributed throughout Nye County at various events. There is an
in-kind match of $3,750.00 required that will be satisfied using project manager wages and travel
for safety events;
b. Execute the project agreement; and
c. Fund $15,000.00 from 10340 Grants.
16.8 For Possible Action – Approval to:
a. Accept the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal Highway Administration
Fiscal Year 2025 Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) grant in the amount of $248,400.00 to
develop a Vision Zero Safety Action Plan which aims to eliminate all traffic fatalities and serious
injuries by 2040. There is a county match of $62,100.00 to be funded from 10205 Roads;
b. Execute the Agreement electronically; and
c. Fund $248,400.00 from 10340 Grants.
BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
17. For Possible Action – Discussion and deliberation to appoint a person from the panel of substitute justices
of the peace pursuant to NRS 4.340 as a justice of the peace to attend to his or her official duties from the
following list of persons: Michael Foley, and Philip Bovee. A temporary vacancy from absence, disability
or other cause must not be filled by another justice of the peace or a substitute justice of the peace for more
than 30 days at any one time.
COUNTY MANAGER
18. For Possible Action – Discussion and deliberation to:
a. Approve, amend and approve, or reject a lease agreement with Beatty Seniors Inc. for the Beatty
Senior Center for the purpose of providing senior services to the residents of Beatty, NV located at
200 S. A Ave., Beatty, NV; and
b. Approve, amend and approve, or reject an Interlocal Contract with Beatty Seniors Inc. for the
county providing administrative and facility services at a cost, and purpose of providing senior
services to the residents of Beatty, NV.
19. For Possible Action – Discussion and deliberation to approve adding Kent Vollmer with American
Real Estate Appraisal to the list of qualified property appraisers to appraise county property for sale or
lease pursuant to NRS 244.2795.
20. For Possible Action – Discussion and deliberation to:
a. Determine that a 1995 Ford F800 VIN 1FDX80C9SVA80051 is no longer required for public use
due to being in an accident and being deemed a total loss; and
b. Dispose of through salvage methods with any resulting proceeds being deposited into the funds
