Organization Report July 2026
Josh Bowren, Executive Director
-No major outages or issues to report with Comcast, ATT or Internet broadcasting.
-Still working on a Stripe account to allow us to charge for VOD downloads. This project is currently stalled on the vendor. (4/10).
-Getting ready for budget hearings 2027. We will be working with Shelly and the Waterford budget team this year.
-ALS is making a new trunk cable to fix the tally lights on our cameras. (9/25)
-ALS is re-chrimping our camera cable ends on all 3 truck studio cameras. (9/25).
-Keeping an eye on our Township Tricaster. It is unregistering our account. Tricaster still works for broadcast.
-Studio Schedule is on website now. This has worked out really well so far.
-Working with “Live in the D” on some collaborations for content on our channel. Waterford Residents. Possible PAC rental.
-Produced commercial for OHMI The Sound of Music held at Waterford Kettering HS
-Working with James Beijin and crew producing Built Local on location episodes. This will expand them from just studio podcasting.
-Working with John Carlos covering a Veteran conducting a running across Michigan fundraiser.
-Started a new health wellness podcast with Karen Mills. Podcast is called, “Sick care vs Well care”.
-Jim Powers is now producing a Volunteer Minute. A weeks’ worth of volunteering opportunities in under a minute. Friday published
-Attended Meet the Fleet with the TV Truck. This is an annual event we attend. Great for the kids and adults.
-First Water by Quarter Lakefront Edition is finally released. DNR on our lakes and Data Centers is next on the agenda.
-Covering the Trustees, Planning and ZBA meetings has not been an issue so far. No issues.
-Quake on the Lake has return to Waterford. Media Network would like to participate, but have no solid connections yet.
-A big thank you to our staff for helping out with my duties while I was unexpectedly out of the office for a week.

Whitney continuing “Let’s Talk All.The.Things” with a new brand to the show. S5E5 I interviewed Jim on “Health Conditions” S5E6
will be with Carmen DeFranco.
Bingo has still been going very well. Since linking with Sunday night we have increased our attendance.
Continue to assist with Sandy Kay Seniorcise.
Continue directing Hello Waterford.
MNOWs VOD is still having sharing issues with no Thumbnail when shared to social media pages. There is a glitch when you click on
the “Playlist” tab.
The Disgruntled Clown show still filming every month. We have officially added Zoom interviews into the show.
More shows outside of Waterford are reaching out for us to run on our channel.
Side Note has picked up with more groups wanting to utilize more.
Covered Powers of Rock podcast.
Covered Two Guys Talk Sports shows.
Wildly Basic will be rebranding our content with a wider variety of topics and activities.
“What Burns My Chops” will be a podcast talking about anything and everything but with a fun twist. It will also become a segment
of The Disgruntled Clown show.
Vanished Voices is close to wrapping up season 1. Ep 9 we interviewed Ms. Margo who is a bone reader and helped multiple law
enforcement offices to find missing people. We are on Spotify along with the VOD platform and social media sites.
Other shows added to Spotify include, Wildly Basic and Let’s Talk thus far.
Filmed PPW interviewing Carmen DeFranco.
Waterford Off The Wall Co-directing shows.
Photo Booth at Zeppelins Peace Run went very well.

Proposal: Portable Modular Stage
I recommend the Township purchase a portable modular stage system made of lightweight 4’x4’ foldable platforms
with adjustable-height legs. When connected, they form a 12’x12’ stage, or can be used individually as risers.

Parks & Recreation: Flexible staging for programs and community events across multiple locations.
Township & Nonprofits: Shared use for ceremonies, fundraisers, and presentations.

Estimated Cost: $3,000–$5,000 Funding Options: Township purchase, shared departmental cost, or community
fundraising. Note: A terms-of-use agreement would be established for shared access.

Continued training and support for Township staff and volunteers in the production room to ensure smooth operations
and consistent quality.
Medical Emergency Coverage
During a recent medical emergency involving Joshua, Whitney and I attended the Cable Commission meeting in his
place. Together, we coordinated operations to ensure Media Network continued running efficiently. This experience
demonstrated strong teamwork and our ability to maintain stability during unexpected situations.
4. Community Engagement
I have been asked to assist with an upcoming Encore event/fundraiser, helping to organize a music-based program. The
goal is to involve the Broadcasters Band and provide taping coverage for the event. This continues Media Network’s
commitment to supporting community
