There will be a First Responders Foundation Bowling for Badges Fundraiser on February
21st at Papio Bowl.

The library will join Pokemon fans around the world to celebrate Pokemon Day on February
27th at 3:30pm. This program for kids and tweens will include opportunities to play a variety
of Pokemon games, with snacks and drinks provided.
The Papillion Police Department will be having their 8th Annual Awards Ceremony on March
1st at 3pm to recognize those who have had a positive impact and contributed to the mission
of the Police Department during 2025.

Audit Ad Hoc March 17th
at 5:15pm

The Papillion Downtown Business Association will host their annual State of the City meeting
on March 4th at 7am at the Papillion Landing. Attendees can connect with community
members, business owners, and city leadership, while getting updates on Papillion’s
progress and future direction.

(F&A) March 17th at 6pm

The Papillion Library will be hosting an open house on March 24th from 6pm to 8pm to
present the Library Master Plan and long term improvements.

The 2026 Guns & Hoses Hockey Challenge will be March 15th at 3pm at Baxter Arena.

Construction at the Papillion Police Department continues, and the front entrance will
remain closed for the next few weeks. Visitors requiring assistance should use the three
designated parking spots on the west end of the front lot. Please park in one of these spots
and call the number posted on the sign for further instructions.
Progress on City Park is moving along. OPPD is working to bury powerlines, changes were
made to the landscape design for better design technique, plant recommendation and
spacing. The project is still on track to be completed before Papillion Days.

Several City representatives attended the Grow Sarpy Annual Meeting on February 11th in
LaVista. Many great things happened in 2025 in Sarpy County!
The quarterly MFO meeting was held February 11th. The committee discussed the 1st
Quarter finances, personnel additions and future purchases.
The Nebraska Department of Transportation held a public open house on February 12th
regarding the preliminary design for the new I-80 interchange at 192nd St in Sarpy County.
The public is encouraged to provide feedback. Comments are being collected through
February 27th and can be submitted on the project website or to
[email protected].
