Information Report
A productive meeting was held on January 15th with members from each Sarpy County city,
the county and Grow Sarpy leadership to discuss Grow Sarpy’s services and evaluate future
opportunities for new services. Grow Sarpy’s quarterly report will be included in the February
3rd Administrator Report. The Grow Sarpy’s Annual Meeting is coming up on February 11th
at the Embassy Suites in La Vista.

Papillion resident Shirley Ertz was recently honored with the Heritage Hero Award from the
Nebraska State Historical Society, recognizing her 50 years of dedication to preserving the
city’s history.
The City of Papillion Finance Department received the Certificate of Achievement for
Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association of the
United States and Canada (GFOA). This marks the 15th consecutive year that the Finance
Department has received this recognition for their annual comprehensive financial report.
This is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial
reporting.
Seasonal hiring has begun with open interviews for Papio Bay, SumTur Amphitheater, Golf,

The Mayor’s Youth Leadership Council invites all students in grades 7 through 12 to
participate in the first-ever Youth Leadership Summit. This event is designed to help local
youth build essential skills through guest speakers, interactive games, and hands-on
leadership activities. The event will be held on February 28th from 9am to 1pm at Papillion

The Papillion Community Foundation is now accepting vendor applications for the 79th
